Celebration High School

Welcome to the Celebration HS IB Application page.  There are several steps and please read through this page.  Even though it looks like a lot, please know it is a pretty simple process.

1. Step 1 – Submit the SDOC online Choice Application
2. Step 2 – Download the IB Recommendation form and work with your school counselor to complete this form.
3. Step 3 – Once your IB Recommendation form is completed, submit it to the CHS IB Coordinator or CHS School Counselor (see email address below).
4. Step 4 – Sign-up for one of our CHS Pre-IB Information Nights (bottom of this webpage).

Steps to the application process

   2. Click here to visit the SDOC Choice Celebration webpage
   3. Please review the Official IB Diploma Programme Brochure below. 
   4. Please review the Official IB Career Programme Brochure below. 
   5. Remember, you are enrolling in the Celebration HS Pre-IB programme in 9^th and 10^th grade

How to Apply: 

1. After November 20th, you can complete the 2026-2027 SDOC online Choice Application before the deadline of January 26th.

      3. Ensure you “CHOOSE” Celebration High School and either the IB Diploma Programme or the IB Career Programme.
      4. Application Deadline is January 26th, 2026
      5. THIS STEP MUST BE COMPLETED before we can process your IB recommendation form (see next step)
          
2. After you have completed the SDOC online Choice Application, you will need to complete the IB Recommendation Form for 2026-2027.
   1. This form includes teacher/counselor recommendations, GPA and grade information, State or National Testing information, and attendance.
   2. For most of you, you will need the assistance of your School Counselor to complete this form.
   3. Once it is complete, please have it returned to Mr. Blackmon via email, Donald.Blackmon@osceolaschools.net, or Ms. Vazquez via email, Kayla.vazquez@osceolaschools.net.

SDOC Application Window

November 20, 2025—January 26, 2026

However, the sooner, the better to avoid being placed on a wait list.

When considering students for admission to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Celebration High School, the Admission Committee will review the following elements:

• The last 3 years of grades
• Proficiency level on FL Standards Assessments (FSA) Reading
• Proficiency level on FL Standards Assessments (FSA) Math or Algebra EOC
• Teacher and School Counselor Recommendations
• Academic Performance
• Attendance History
• Discipline History

Prerequisite Coursework: 

• Algebra 1 or Algebra 1 Honors is highly recommended to prepare students for the rigor of high school course sequences.
• We recommend NOT taking Biology 1 in Middle School.

Lastly, please come join us for our IB Informational Nights on January 8th OR January 21st. 

Learn more about our CHS Pre-IB programme and our school.  Both nights have the same agenda and include:

• Campus Tour
• Teacher Panel
• Student panel
• Information Session
• Time: 6 pm and lasts approximately 2 hours.
• Location: Celebration High School Auditorium/Theatre

It is not required; however, it will help us out if you pre-register for the event so we can ensure you can meet all of your needs.
