Hello Storm Family and welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!

We have an amazing staff that is dedicated to ensuring that every student at CHS receives a high quality education. Our teachers collaborate regularly to ensure that they are providing our students opportunities to grow academically and socially through high level educational experiences as well as in a variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities.

Of course, our great successes would not be possible without the support of parent and community organizations. We are thankful for the support we receive from out Parent, Teacher and Student Association (CHS PTSA), our School Advisory Council (CHS SAC), our Athletic Booster Club, the Celebration Athletic Foundation, the Celebration Foundation, and our numerous OASIS volunteers. I encourage you all to get involved with CHS to help us support your student on their journey.

New this year, we have integrated a 30 minute block of time that has been set aside during the school day to allow students time to receive extra assistance from their teachers called SURGE. Our teachers are utilizing this time to reteach concepts, allow students to complete make-up work, perform test corrections, etc. If your child is not successful in all classes, he/she should be utilizing SURGE period to reach success. Teachers assign students to SURGE period for specific reasons, but students are also allowed to go to SURGE period on their own when they need assistance. Please encourage your student to take advantage of SURGE – don’t allow them to tell you they don’t have time to get extra assistance from a teacher.

In order to communicate with parents, we have two Remind accounts that we utilize to send text message announcements. For general information, text @chsnew to 81010. To receive any emergency updates, text the message @chsemerg to 81010.

Thank you parents and guardians for raising such fine young men and women as they are a joy to work with each day! If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We want to work with you to help your student reach their full potential. Together, we are ONE STORM NATION!

See you around campus,
